El Cuate is our imperial wild ale aged in Tequila barrels and refermented with organic blue agave. The Tequila barrels used to age this special beer are very rare: they were constructed of French oak and were used to hold California Sauvignon Blanc before being used to hold Tequila. These unique barrels present notes of citrus and tropical fruit and the French Oak contributes significant tannins which lend a fuller body. The addition of organic blue agave nectar contributes notes of spices and candied fruit. 11.5%
