We brewed this dark strong ale to have flavors reminiscent of Belgian Quad, Stout, and Flanders Red Ale. This beer spent six months in Italian Sangiovese wine barrels and 21 months in Jamaican Rum barrels. The rum barrel is prominent in the aroma with notes of Belgian Candi Syrup and molasses, leading to a charred American oak, vanilla, and caramelized dates. The finish is long with malt sweetness balanced by moderate acidity.
