This strong beer blurs the lines between dessert wine and wild ale. Burnt sienna in color with aromatics of sweet honey and candied tropical fruit, the flavor transitions to notes of tart Sauvignon Blanc grapes and dried apricots. This wine-like beer is served still and is packed with tannins and oak complexity from a 16-month fermentation in used French Oak Sauvignon Blanc barrels. Not too sweet, and not too tart, this bold yet balanced beer is meant for sipping and savoring with friends and family, and should age elegantly.
